Blackfoot set to release Southern Native

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nashville, Tennessee
August 1, 201

Blackfoot via Loud & Proud Records is set to release Southern Native  on August 5th, 2016.

Blackfoot, the Southern rock band formed in 1970’s by current lead guitarist of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rickey Medlocke is back with a new line-up.  Their Southern Native on Loud & Proud Records is being released on August 5, 2016.  Over the last two years, Medlocke wrote, performed on and produced Southern Native.
Carrying the torch for the next generation of Blackfoot and handpicked by Medlocke himself, the Jacksonville, Florida-based foursome, lead guitarist/vocalist Tim Rossi, guitarist/vocalist Rick Krasowski, bassist Brian Carpenter and drummer Matt Anastasi are carrying the torch for the next generation with their hard-driving southern rock sound.

“This record is head to head old school meets new school, classic to new rock for a brand new generation!” says Medlocke, “Turn it up loud!”

“Rickey bridged the generations by having his grandfather Shorty Medlocke play on those early Blackfoot records,” said lead guitarist/vocalist Tim Rossi “so having Rickey play slide and other guitar with us on this record bridges the modern gap. It’s a full-circle kind of thing.”

That forward-moving proof can be found deep within the music of Southern Native, from the proud heritage callbacks of the title track to the tasty slide-driven travelogue of “Take Me Home” to the harmonic ramrod-riffage twist on Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s powerful “Ohio” (which includes quite a shrewd lyrical shout-out at the end).
Having toured extensively over the past few years to re-ignite their fan base, Blackfoot has introduced themselves and their music to even more southern rock fans. Blackfoot has been touring all summer in support of Southern Native.  Summer tour dates left are below.

  1. 01. Need My Ride

Little River Band at Anderson Music Hall in Hiawassee, Georgia
Little River Band is heading to Anderson Music Hall in Hiawassee at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 2, 2016.

The Little River Band who is best known for their mega hits like, “Cool Change,”  “Take It Easy On Me,” “Reminiscing,”“Help is on its Way,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Man on your Mind,”“The Other Guy,” “The Night Owls,” “Lady,” and “Happy Anniversary,”  plus many more will be rocking Anderson Music Hall and bringing back memories for folks in Hiawassee.

This high energy fantastically tight band is quickly gaining the reputation of being a band that keeps the audience on their feet.  For a good portion of the night folks have a hard time sitting still when Little River Band is playing. In fact, the band encourages the band to sing along and feel the music.

They perform the hits the way you remember them but with more feeling, vibe and energy than ever before.  You can’t help but move to the music and sing along with the Little River Band.  Their first show of the New Year was at the Pompano Amphitheater on January 8, 2016 and this is what the reviewer had to say about them.

“Perform,” was a vast understatement, same with “remarkable.” It was a revival, but not in the traditional sense of the word. No, it was a revival of many things: Of fun (yes, he promised us fun, but this much fun? Wow.) It was a revival of the spirit-of the spirit of music, and of a big block party and of friendship.” You can see the entire review at Pompano Today.

The band won “Musical Artist of the Year,” at the Global Gaming Expo’s (G2E) Casino Entertainment Awards recently.  Seeing them live will show you why.  For more on Little River Band, check out their main website along with their brand new fan club website and make sure to like them on Facebook.  Anderson Music Hall is located at 1311 Music Hall Road, Hiawassee, GA.  Tickets can be purchased at their website.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nashville, Tennessee
May 19, 2016

The Tennessee Werewolves summer prowl alert

This is a Tennessee Werewolves summer prowl alert.  The Tennessee Werewolves have already been spotted this spring in several locations raising cain and howling at the moon.  First they were spotted at Save the Cumberland River event and after that, people reported seeing them presenting awards at the Indie Ville TV Awards.

It is more than rumored that Grammy nominated music producer Rob Caggiano has vanished and will not emerge until he is done producing the Tennessee Werewolves new single destined to be released in mid- summer.

On top of all of that, and after a brief visit to the CMA building, the Country Music Association handed over the number 840 as the booth with The Tennessee Werewolves name on it.  They will indeed have a wolf den at the CMA FEST waiting to meet with and sniff out old fans and new.  They are also hosting a Fan Appreciation event on June 11, 2016 at The Stillery in Nashville.  Folks R.S.V.P., now as it is better to be a guest than to be dinner.

It gets even more dangerous and dastardly for the folks living up north as The Tennessee Werewolves are heading that way in fact; they are going all the way up to New Hampshire to open for Florida Georgia Line at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on June 24, 2016.  America, be on the lookout for The Tennessee Werewolves this summer as the nights get hot and muggy and most especially when the moon is full.

Be sure to visit the Tennessee Werewolves at their howling fun website and to keep tabs on them in an effort to insure your safety, make sure to like them on Facebook.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nashville, Tennessee

April 18, 2016

Jenna Longmire releases official music video for her song  “Can’t Hold It In.”

It has been a long journey back from a terrible car accident and the sudden death of her father.  Jenna Longmire’s long awaited release of her very first music video for a song from her debut album Resistance is being officially released on April 18, 2016. .   Her CD Resistance had seen a release at the end of 2014 which was cut short because of the tragedies that would strike Jenna’s life.  In January of 2016, Jenna re-released the CD and went right into production for her very first music video for her song, “Can’t Hold It In,” an upbeat tune with a very distinct message.

Jenna said she wanted this to be the first song on the CD to get an official music video because it was upbeat.  She didn’t want a “heartbreak song to be her first music video.”

The music video features some local Nashville landmarks and artwork.  The gorgeous portrait that Jenna is performing in front of is by the talented artist, Christine Krainock, Contemporary Art by Christine  and that segment was filmed in Jenna’s recording studio in Nashville.  The Park where Jenna was riding the swing next to the adorable Adeline is Sevier Park in the 12 South area of Nashville.  The pool segments were shot at Coleman Park Community Center and the little girl diving into the pool is Maggie.  The Gibson Guitar you see painted on the wall is located at Carter Vintage Guitars on 8th Avenue.  Jenna’s costar and four-legged housemate is Breck and Breck is a Catahoula and has been heard barking that another cameo appearance is not out of the question in the future.

Jenna wanted her community to be part of this music video and she really delivered.

“Can’t Hold It In,” is a fun song that has an equally fun music video.  Jenna not only has a brand new music video but she also has a brand new website to showcase all the great new music she is writing, recording and releasing.  You can see Jenna perform live during CMA Week at the Commodore in downtown Nashville on June 9, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.

Resistance is a collection of sophisticated songs delivered by layered heartfelt lyrics and vocals by this Americana Pop Artist.  Resistance has 12 tracks that are not stopped and started by time constraints.  Each song has a life of its own and paints a picture clearly and distinctly like watching a motion picture set to music.  This is a beautiful, poignant debut album by Jenna Longmire and just the beginning of great things to come.

The Resistance CD and “Can’t Hold It In,” are now available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.  Find out more about Jenna and where you can see her performing live by visiting her website and make sure to like her on Facebook.

January 5, 2016

Gig Michaels of Swamp da Wamp died a few hours before birthday. Gig Michaels, the larger than life lead singer of the southern country rock blues band Swamp da Wamp passed away last at 8:03 p.m., on January 3, 2016 just hours before his 52nd birthday.

Many fans and followers are wondering what happened to their beloved larger than life performer.  Michaels had been treated for Bronchitis since October, 2015.  In mid December he took a fall that injured his knee which made him sedentary.  During that time it is believed that he also caught the flu.

All of these events combined to cause the perfect storm and right before Christmas, Michaels was admitted into the hospital for treatment for pneumonia. On the 2nd day into his hospital stay he was admitted into the ICU for respiratory distress from the pneumonia and later diagnosed with advanced COPD.  After fighting for 12 days in ICU, and fight he did, his body was just too weak to go on.

Michael’s with his band Swamp da Wamp recently released their CD, That Easy.  Plans for the music video for his next single, “Changes,” were in pre-production with a company in Nashville, with the video slated to be shot in McMinnville, TN in the spring.

Swamp da Wamp has fan clubs all over the world in countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Brazil, Sweden, India, France and the UK which is a testament to their burgeoning international popularity. Swamp da Wamp music can be heard on over 65,000 Touch Tunes jukeboxes across the U.S. Several songs have been licensed for use in video games by the gaming giant Xbox.

Swamp da Wamp members are passionate about our nation’s Veterans and they’re ardent supporters of Native American Heritage Association (NAHA). They are honored to have performed on all three of NAHA’s famous “Rock Legends” cruises alongside legendary acts such as ZZ Top, Foreigner, Alice Cooper, Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker Band, Pat Travers Band, Artimus Pyle Band and the The New Lords.

The band is committed to promoting the anti-bullying movement, working closely with international organization Stopbully.com. Just recently Stopbully.com has adopted Swamp’s “I Am” as their anthem.

The members of the band are currently grieving the loss of their leader.  To find out more about them, you can visit the website and like them on Facebook.

Michaels is survived by his brothers, sisters, mother, father and son.  The family has not released information on funeral plans at this time but has determined that he will be cremated with a memorial in the warmer weather being considered.    Friends and fans should follow his Facebook pages for more information on that in days to come.
